Theatrical delights
Winchester Theatre Royal
Peter Pan the Pantomime
Wednesday 8 December 2010 to Monday 3 January 2011
You already know the way to Neverland! "Second to the right, and then straight on 'til morning!" Prepare to be swept off your feet in Theatre Royal Winchester's most enchanting pantomime yet, based on J M Barrie's classic children's tale of make-believe and adventure.
Once there, Peter and Wendy embark on a host of adventures. They meet the band of lost boys, a shimmer of mermaids, a gaggle of squaws led by Tiger Lily, and a mischievous fairy called Tinker Bell.
But their biggest challenge is to evade the evil clutches of Captain Hook and his dastardly accomplice Smee. Peter Pan and Captain Hook fight a deadly duel that will take you to the edge of your seat, watched by the beady eyes of a very hungry crocodile. But how will it all end? Will Wendy ever find her way back to the safety of her home in London, to John, Michael, Nana the dog and Mr and Mrs Darling?
Your feet will hardly touch the ground in this magical pantomime version of Peter Pan, with original songs and music, lots of audience participation and some truly eye-popping surprises. Peter Pan the Pantomime is guaranteed fun for all the family.
Adpated from the novel by J M Barrie with original music by Simon Slater. Presented by arrangement with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and Samuel French Limited.
